International Initiatives
Announcements:The Office of International Programs is currently accepting invitations for the Chinese Bridge Winter Camp for American Students, which provides students with a unique opportunity to visit China over the upcoming winter break (Dec. 28, 2009-January 10, 2010). Applications are due on December 2, 2009. For more information and to fill out an application, visit the program web site.
International Initiatives is currently accepting applications for the Chinese Government Scholarship. The due date is November 30, 2009.
International Initiatives was created to coordinate, initiate and sustain international initiatives across the University, including the Law Center and the Medical Center. To ensure that all academic units were represented, a Faculty Committee for International Initiatives was appointed with members representing departments and programs across the University.
Within the Office of the Provost, the International Initiatives Team develops, implements and evaluates international programs and serves as a clearinghouse on international activities at Georgetown. The team also operates the Georgetown University Liaison Office in Shanghai, China and maintains web resources on international initiatives such as the Georgetown International Traveler's Resource, the Georgetown and China site, and the International Collaboration system.
