Georgetown Announces Summer Hilltop Immersion Program

The Georgetown University Summer Hilltop Immersion Program (SHIP) will be offered during Summer 2021 for students admitted during the 2020-2021 academic year. The University community is eager to welcome the Class of 2024 and newly admitted transfer students to the Hilltop this summer.

SHIP will include academic, experiential learning and social activities for the students to participate in over the summer. The program will be a five-week residential program (June 7th – July 9th) that will require students to register for at least five academic credits and live in dormitory housing, including a full access meal plan. Many units across campus are planning opportunities for the students to participate in while on campus including the Cawley Career Education Center, Center for Social Engagement, Center for Social Justice and the Georgetown University Office of Fellowships, Awards, and Research.

Course information can be found on the summer website. In addition, a set of 1-credit immersive experiential courses was created exclusively for SHIP students to deepen connections to each other (people); to campus, the wider neighborhood, and the city (places); and to the distinctive values that animate Georgetown, including Jesuit values (purpose).
