Note: The dates listed below reflect the deadlines for receipt of dossiers to the Office of the Provost.Please check with your department and/or school regarding internal deadlines for dossiers to be submitted to the Office of the Provost by the dates listed below.  

April 15 or earlier

Candidate announces intent to apply

April 15

Deadline for submission of dossier to the Office of the Provost in Interfolio for lateral/external hires.

October 15 (Professor); January 31 (Associate with tenure)

Deadline for submission of dossier to Office of the Provost in Interfolio.

November 15 (Professor); March 1 (Associate); May 1 (Lateral/External) 

Deadline for submission of dossier from Provost to University Committee on Rank and Tenure.

July 31

Latest date decisions are communicated to faculty member. 

• Appeal: Within thirty days of decision, negative decisions may be appealed.
