Faculty Affairs

From faculty policies to specific information regarding the tenure and non-tenure line faculty process, the faculty affairs office is here to help.

Welcome to the Office of Faculty Affairs at Georgetown University!

The Georgetown faculty- whether full-time or part-time (adjunct), tenure line or non-tenure line- are our most valuable resource in our continuous effort to offer the highest quality educational experience for our students while generating cutting edge research and serving the community. This office oversees the implementation of policies and procedures affecting all faculty career stages, from initial appointment through retirement and emeriti status. This includes issuing appointment letters, monitoring faculty payroll and annual salary increase and merit evaluation processes, coordinating promotions for non-tenure line faculty and the rank and tenure process for tenure-line faculty, processing faculty leaves, helping faculty plan for retirement, and implementing the adjunct faculty collective bargaining agreement, as well as generating reports on faculty issues. Policies and guidelines for these activities are provided on this web site for easy reference.
