About

Our team within the Office of the Provost is dedicated to providing a transparent and beneficial atmosphere for Georgetown's faculty and staff.

Message from the Provost

Welcome. I believe an effective Provost’s office serves the faculty and students of a university. The Provost’s office at Georgetown strives to be transparent in its activities and seeks early and frequent input from faculty, students, and staff. Our office has the obligation to build an environment in which faculty can perform their best in scholarship, research and student engagement through teaching and mentoring, as well as one in which students are primed to become global lifelong learners, and thus global leaders.

The Provost at Georgetown is chief academic officer and executive vice president of the main campus. Along with school deans and my team, we are responsible for the quality of the educational and research programs of Georgetown College, the Walsh School of Foreign Service, the McDonough School of Business, the McCourt School of Public Policy, the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and the School of Continuing Studies. In addition to academics and research, the office oversees the library, admissions, financial aid, the registrar, student affairs and other supporting units.

I hope this site provides the information you seek. Please contact us if we can provide any additional information.
