Computational Linguistics Team Wins First Place in the DISRPT Shared Task on Discourse Relation Classification

Professor Amir Zeldes of the Department of Linguistics worked with a team of Computational Linguistics students and members of the Corpling Lab to submit a paper that won first place in the Discourse Relation Parsing and Treebanking (DISRPT) Shared Task on Discourse Relation Classification.  This is an international competition on discourse relation classification and the Georgetown team beat four others from Canada, Germany, France, and India.
